So, this is a very important and deep meaning of what role sports play in the life of the disabled as in one way or another it is a little difficult task for them to practice sports of compared to the person who is not disabled. First of all, we are surprised to know that almost any sport in which able-bodied athletes can participate in can be modified for participation by individuals with a disability including archery, athletics, basketball, cycling, bowling, canoeing etc. Deepa Malik from India, Jim from America and many more are perfect examples of this nothing is impossible. Now, why it is essential? Throughout the 18th and 19th Centuries sport began to be viewed as a tool for rehabilitating people with a disability. But it was Dr Ludwig Guttmann who was the instrumental figure in establishing what has today become the International Paralympic Movement. Sports is it can transform community attitudes about persons with disabilities by highlighting their skills and reducing the tendency to see the disability instead of the person. Sport changes the person with a disability in an equally profound way by empowering persons with disabilities to realise their full potential and advocate for changes in society. In such ways, sports help the disabled both mentally and physically so that they can play and normalize parasports term and make them stable more focused and confident towards their goal.
