Feminism- A Taboo?

Gender Equality was made part of international human rights law on 10 December 1948. Strange, isn't it? Before that, many people didn't even think about equal opportunities or access to the same resources and rights for female members of society. First people had to fight for equal opportunities, and now they struggle to justify that fight. Initially, unequal access to resources was taboo, now feminism is! Some people so easily call out other people for being feminists or for simply believing in equality. Feminism is not just for women and by women. Anyone and everyone who believes in equality and equity is a feminist irrespective of their gender, class, or color. Feminism is not about humiliating men. It has become a very big misconception, “Feminism” does not liberate women at the expense of men." We now, say the word feminism as if it's a hate word. We require to educate and develop a feminist sensibility among the youth. The REAL sense of the word, because feminism is not taboo; it's a fight! Now many females have easy access to all opportunities and resources as males but not quite all. This fight may have started a very long time ago, but it is not over yet. So let us join hands to fight further for gender neutrality and not feminism. Feminist is the most misunderstood word or concept and we, need to change that!
