A tiring day and papa says " Let's go out and eat ". My comfort food has always been South Indian cuisine (and especially dosa). It's the most perfect food available according to me. It is easy to make, crispy, soft, delicious and a perfect vegan protein. It’s easy to store the batter for weeks, everyone likes them, they’re fun to eat and it might just be my very favourite food. Dosa or Dosai are one of the staples of Southern India and good dosa with the traditional accompaniments of vegetable sambar and fresh coconut chutney is a treat to be enjoyed if you can make it to India. Dosa comes in many varieties, stuffed, sweet or plain, the usual accompaniments are the classical South Indian sambar ( or sambhar), a light, thin stew of spiced vegetables and lentils and cold, fresh coconut chutney. If you are feeling adventurous, there are other variations that you can eat as well, such as chocolate dosa, omelette dosa, gold dosa, and more! Finally, if you want to be healthy, some substitutes are oats, quinoa, brown rice, and ragi as replacements for the traditional mixture of rice and black gram.
Fun fact: The 'Dosa' is listed on the World's 50 most Delicious Foods!
